Kathryn Proulx is a multidisciplinary designer living in Fairfield, Connecticut. Currently my time is split between living and working in Connecticut and finishing my thesis work in Communication Design at Parsons School of Design in Manhattan.
Prior to now, I have been the design assistant at W Magazine, an award-winning fashion magazine published by Conde Nast, and the in-house designer and project manager for Art-Space, New Haven's premier contemporary art gallery.
Faux-beau.com is my avenue to share what I'm working on now, what inspires me, and to share my experience and advice to students who are interested in attending Parsons or art school in general.

Tiff Chang: Parsons Prodigy

August 5th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Despite what Tim Gunn or statistical data might want you to think–not everyone at parsons is amazing at what they do. But when you go to design school you are bound to find some of your classmates inspiring. One of the most talented students in my major and year (Communication Design 2010 what’s up!) is Tiff Chang. Girl rules! I’ve seen her half-dead at the 8th floor computer lab working on motion graphics finals until her eyes are so bloodshot you’d think she’d been smoking more than just cigarettes. Not only is she talented, but she’s dedicated, too. Some students (yes, I am occasionally guilty of this too) cut corners on projects in order to meet the due date; Tiff has a “can’t stop, won’t stop” attitude when it comes to getting her motion-graphics assignments done.

Check out the animation she did for Cartoon Network:

You can follow Tiff and all her Comme de Garcons, Cartoon Network, MTV, and soon to be V Magazine adventures on her blog at inuriyuku.blogspot.com.
