Just when I thought the Alex & Chloe craze was over (hadn’t seen someone wear a piece of theirs since the Kate necklace freshman year) I fall in love twice in 24 hours. First, I saw the photo editor at W magazine wearing a bauhaus ring …not sure if it was this style exactly, but that’s besides the point. That ring is dangerous! Then I found this gem:

Someone should tell my future husband to max out his credit cards, buy this, save it for the ~perfect moment~ and then propose. Or tell Chino I’d settle for the Inverted Black Diamond Ring as a Christmas gift, I promise to repay him with Madden 2k10, A Super Bowl XLII DVD, and tattoos. Thanks.

Just wanted to share with you some amazing photos taken by an old roommate; Lily Ferguson.

The model is my friend Jill who I’ve posted about before and the photos were taken in my hometown of Madison, Connecticut. Makes me miss home! Lily is a photo major at Parsons and she has interned for GIANT Magazine and award-winning photographer Ryan McGinley.

Spent my Monday morning sketching ideas for my screenprint series.

1. Petronio Associates, an advertising and multi-disciplinary design firm servicing luxury brands such as Chanel, Colette, Prada, and Pucci gives us a behind the scenes look at their work for Chloe.
2. “What I learned about Blogging from the U.S. Presidential Election”
3. A small sampling of the dry humor/illustrations of Marc Johns.
4. Michael Laborde says “Myspace Is Not A Design Medium.” I agree.
4b. Michael also shares his experience with different cultural perspectives that can be put on one typeface (this happens a lot in art school, too).
5. I love Steven Meisel, I loved his December 07 shoot in Vogue. But it’s unfortunate that I hate puzzles.
6. A tribute to Herb Lubalin. He’s my dude.

So you read about my first foray into screenprinting from my class this summer. I mentioned preparing myself for my screenprint class that I started this past September. My first project from my screenprint class is now available on Etsy.com for $18!

This little lady is a 5-color hand-pulled screenprint on Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Board (100lb paper - like what softcover books are bound with). Approx 8.5×11 printed on 18×24 stock. Signed and numbered super-limited edition of 10. And she will never be pulled again!

Thanks to Jazzi McG for the bangin’ photos and photoshopping out my under eye bags. You go girl!
